Coach Brian Peters is a breath & mental skills based performance coach and the Founder of Breathing For Performance.

Breathing For Performance is a Breath Training & Physiology Based Performance Company created to simplify and share the language and tools of the breath world with all humans and high performers.

He is a former NFL Linebacker and captain for the Houston Texans who played in the AFL, UFL, & CFL before reaching the NFL.

Brian has an affinity for pursuing optimal performance across all modalities, he calls this “Chasing Edges” the edge that stood out among all the rest for mental and physical performance on the football field, was the power of the breath.

He has since gone on to coach and develop breath work programming for NFL, NHL, MLB, NCAA, UFC, BJJ, and Olympic Athletes, as well as active and veteran members of the US Special Forces, along with business professionals.

His approach to performance involves the application of breath work to improve every day life, performance, and recovery.

Coaching with the goal of improving and mastering proper breathing mechanics, maximizing respiratory function, and the use of the breath as a tool to improve control of physiological and psychological states on and off the field, and in the every day obstacles of our lives.

Along with the breath, Brian coaches mental skills, competitive performance philosophy, and heat/cold exposure methodologies for recovery.

Brian consults and presents to teams and businesses, as well as trains 1 on 1 clients ranging from members of the US Special Forces to Pro-Bowl NFL Athletes, UFC Fighters, and CEOs. He has also coached/consulted for the Green Bay Packers, Ohio State University Baseball and Soccer Teams, University of North Carolina Golf Teams, 10th Special Forces Group, Columbus Fire Department, GoPro, and Sorinex Exercise Equipment, among others. Brian has also spoken at health and fitness conferences such as the SWIS Conference and Sorinex’s SummerStrong.

Alongside Breathing For Performance philosophies, he is an Oxygen Advantage Master Coach, XPT Performance Breathing Certified, Level 2 Be Activated Certified, & Westside Barbell Athletic Coaching Certified, with a Masters & Major from Northwestern University in Learning and Organizational Change.
