ABOUT Ryler DeHeart

Ryler DeHeart is a former top 200 ATP Tour Tennis professional turned full-time pickleball pro in 2022. He grew up in Tampa playing junior tennis and achieved the #1 ranking in the nation both in juniors and in college tennis at the University of Illinois, where he was a team and individual national champion and holds the all-time record for most singles wins. He went on to coach and teach tennis at every level, creating a high-performance junior academy and then becoming the assistant coach at the University of Alabama for four seasons before moving up to the associate head coach position at Florida State University for three seasons where he lead the team to a top ten national finish. Ryler was then given the opportunity to be a National Coach for Team USA at the USTA National Campus. In pickleball, he currently competes on the APP tour with double-digit medals including a gold medal in the 2024 Cincinnati Open. He also lead the Chicago Slice to the 2023 MLP Championship title and made the finals with the Frisco Pandas. He has competed in professional tournaments, events, and exhibitions all over the world with his wife, Megan Fudge, who was also a standout collegiate tennis player at his alma mater and is now one of the top female pros in the world. They have two children, Lily (9) and JR (8) that recently won a gold medal at the APP Chicago Open and are a Franklin-sponsored family, traveling around full-time in their RV spreading the love of pickleball!
